🌙 Moonwhisper Helps Write the Newsletter

This morning, Moonwhisper decided to help me write. She climbed up onto the keyboard, blinked at the blinking cursor, and gave me that look — the one that says, “You’ve got this, human. But maybe also, stop overthinking it.”

I don’t know if you’ve ever written with a Patchling, but they have this quiet way of making the process… softer. Moonwhisper doesn’t speak out loud (obviously — she’s made of yarn, not hubris), but she has a steady kind of presence that reminds you to slow down. To notice. To breathe between sentences.

She told me — silently, of course — that words should feel like warm light spilling through window blinds, not like a to-do list. That every story, every stitch, every small act of creation has its own quiet glow.

So we sat there together, her little pumpkin self perched bravely on the keyboard, watching the words unfold. And somewhere between “draft” and “send,” I realized she wasn’t just helping me write a newsletter — she was helping me remember why I write at all.

Because sometimes, it isn’t about being productive. It’s about being present.
About believing that a soft, moonlit friend might show up just when you need them most.

So, if you ever find yourself staring at a blank page, or a blank day, imagine Moonwhisper there beside you — steady heart, quiet glow — whispering, “You’re doing just fine.”

And who knows… maybe she’s already picked you as her next friend.
