You Have Permission to…

Coloring/Activity Book Series

You Have Permission to Slow Down

A coloring and reflection book for the moments when you need a little less from yourself.

You don't have to accomplish anything here.

You don't have to finish every page, answer every prompt, or turn slowing down into one more thing you're supposed to be good at.

You Have Permission to Slow Down is a gentle collection of calming coloring pages, reflection prompts, simple activities, and quiet reminders created to give you somewhere to set things down for a while.

Pick up a pencil.

Color for a few minutes.

Write if you feel like it.

Skip the page entirely if you don't.

There are no rules here.

More than a coloring book

Throughout the book, peaceful coloring pages are mixed with simple opportunities to check in with yourself.

You'll find cozy scenes, nature, florals, mandalas, encouraging words, and creative pages alongside prompts that ask things like:

What feels heavy today?

What can wait?

What do you need more of?

What would make today feel easier?

What are you holding onto that you can set down?

There are also simple tools for noticing how you're doing, including mood and energy tracking, along with space to think about the music, activities, surroundings, and small comforts that help you settle back into yourself.

This book doesn't ask you to do more.

That's kind of the point.

There is no challenge to complete.

No perfect routine to build.

No expectation that you'll emerge from the final page as a newer, better, more productive version of yourself.

Some days you might color.

Some days you might write.

Some days you might open to a page that reminds you that rest counts, and that may be enough.

Because slowing down doesn't have to be earned by first running yourself into the ground.

Use it your way.

Start at the beginning or open it somewhere in the middle.

Color every detail or leave half the page untouched.

Answer a prompt today and return to it months from now.

Keep it beside your favorite chair for the days when you need somewhere quiet to land.

This isn't a book you're supposed to work through.

It's a book you can come back to.

As the final page says, you were always allowed to slow down. The book is simply a reminder—and whatever you did while you were here was enough.
